I’ve been laughing at simple things today. A good laughter really doesn’t need any complicated, carefully planned & planted jokes to manifest itself – it can be just two words and a simple hand gesture at the exact right moment, and I lose all control, laugh out very loudly, clap my hands together and make high-pitched happy noises. Today those hand gestures and two words were as follows:

Oh, how I adore, appreciate and worship genuinely funny folks with quick wits. Some of them are my friends, some of them are just ordinary bypassers on the street, some of them are the drunks at the pubs, the celebrities in their thousand interviews, my dog (I swear, he makes me laugh several times a day), my dad, some people on the internet with too much time on their hands.. Oh, how I live for the precious moments these people gift us with in our everyday lives.

(By the way, I don’t expect you guys to laugh at this specific jpg or even at the video / interview it’s taken from. I just wanted to come up with a reason to post it, so that one day when I randomly read back my old entries, I will find it and laugh again. I will, however, give an appreciative high five to anyone who knows what it’s about. SIX SQUIRTS!)

(EDIT: I forgot to add this!! It’s a video about the polar bears dealing with spy cams. I almost peed myself when the camera thing took off on its little wheels trying to escape the bear. Bzzzzzz BOING!)

Oh and hey, it’s 2011 in less than 24. Have a very, very, very good year everyone, and REMEMBER TO ENJOY A GOOD LAUGH EVERY NOW AND THEN!

Ok, I get easily bored. Hence the new look. It’s easier to change the blog theme than it is to move furniture around once a month. (EDIT, 6 days later: got bored of the new one. Now back to the old one! Hahhaa.)

M is watching some concert on tv, and right now Sting’s on stage. Oh lovely Sting! I still can’t quite wrap my head around seeing him live. I’ve never ever been a fan, I’ve been the basic “yeah a few good songs” -kind of listener. Then I heard his Symphonicities tour was coming to Finland and just knew I had to see it. I actually won the tickets from a radio show on the last day possible – CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I wanted to go so bad, couldn’t quite afford the ticket in time, and DING. I was actually lucky enough to win two.

I wrote about the gig (in Finnish) earlier, and here’s the translation: AMAZING. Tears, happiness, flabbergastiness. (Is that a word? Is now.)

Anyway, back to today. I thought I’d spread some smiles – well, these made me smile. Hope they have the same effect on you:

Went to see Happoradio on Saturday. Came home yesterday around six pm. How is it that seeing these guys causes a longer journey than just the concert night? I have no idea. Yet it keeps happening time after time. Not that I mind, usually these trips are so much fun there’s plenty to laugh about for weeks and months afterwards. Singing a karaoke version of a song to someone who wrote & performed it, for example, is fun.

So, home now, spending some quality time with Einari. Tarja finally made it home (she was stuck in Thailand for a bit longer than she planned, the volcanic ash thingy) and is now at Harakka. I should be doing other work stuff at home right now, but not getting much done.. a pile of videos, photos, writing waiting for my attention.

Better eat something and maybe watch some Smallville. Catching up to do. After that.. well, at least I’ll try to do things I should be doing.

Oh, and I might get to take photos of Adam Lambert!!!! Huzzah! A friend of mine needs photos for their site, and promised to try & get me to what he calls the “ass-pinching range”.
